She is already in the hospital, dialated and effaced and waiting for the little guy (baby Andrew) to make his appearance. Her last text said maybe tonight - Friday is a scheduled c-section, so we are all hoping she'll go before then. I can't wait!

I'm Too Young To Be A Grandmother!
My first and eldest foster daughter, the one who started us on this road to ruin, will soon make her Mommas Grand Mommas...and I'm not so sure how I feel about it. I've had several years getting used to the idea she is a very capable adult - for more than two years she has held the same great job in the ER of a hospital and has an apartment and fiance: an EMT ambulance driver who makes her very happy. So even though I have had many months to get used the idea of her having a baby- I'm not sure I am ready to be a grandma.

ReplyDeleteWell however you feel about it, congrats on becoming a grandma! Sounds like you did a great job with your first child.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, grandma's arent' what they used to be. Seriously, do you even own a housedress? Grandma's now-days are cool and fun!
I hope all goes well. If it makes you feel better my sister who is 3 yrs younger than I became a grandmother 5 years ago for the first time! LOL Congratulations to you all.

Well, so far all I have is grandcats, greatgrandcats and a granddog. But if some day one of my kids presents me with a human grandchild, I will be called Mumsy. Hmmmm, maybe that's why our oldest bio is 32 and still doesn't want kids. Congrats, grandmas are cool! I have proof, my granddog calls me cool when I see him. Yeah, he's missing the "K" sound but I know it's what he means. Pictures please. Is that Amber or Erin? Our oldest, in Heaven since 90, is Amber.
ReplyDeleteAwww, congratulations!!!! My husband and I are both crazy over babies!! Nothing beats a fresh little one :-)
