"Winter", our fierce little cat, hit by a car, now home from the VET in one piece - PRICELESS

Ok - I feel so guilty spending this much money on my cat when $2.00 stinkin dollars can save a child in DRC (The Congo) from dying of Malaria. Somethin's not quite right with a world where children die for lack of simple, basic medical care that we all take for granted.

  1. :-) I understand. In the last 3 months, I've spent almost $900 on my cats at the vet. And I still tell my step-kids that we can't afford whatever the flavor of the month video game is. Healthy cats vs mind numbed kids. I'm going with the cats every time. :-)

  2. I hear you on the vet bills, we are still trying to avoid one with the dog who eats fur and other things she should not be eating. It is a hard call to make though and each and everytime I wonder where else we could spending that money to help another person but then I look at the boys and their love for our pets and I spend the pennies every time.

  3. Poor kitty! Glad she's ok. Totally understandable on the bills. My "baby girl cat" ate a rubber band once and I was ready to spend $2K on surgery until she passed it with an enema overnight at the animal hospital. Still cost me $700, though. That was back when I was a poor student, too. It took me forever to pay off the financing. What can I say? I love that cat! `Glad Winter had at least one of those lives left to use up!
