Heee's Baaaaack

He's baaaack. Picked up Bobby at the dock from Camp. He is taller and tanner - but still covered in freckles and just as stinkin' cute as when he left a month ago.

On our ride home, we circled several times on the single road running through a tiny picturesque New Hampshire Town settled in the 1760's. We were searching for the boulder strewn swimming hole I briefly spied through the trees as went over a tiny bridge back on the main road. It had to be somewhere. Thankfully, we saw a woman being walked by her elegant, brindled boxer dog, Ivy. She directed us to a well hidden lane that led to the river and an amazing swimming hole that entertained the four of us for the rest of the afternoon.

Early to bed tonight. Guess who is the preaching at church tomorrow? Yup. The Other Mother is the minister at our United Church (Methodist + UCC). Hmmmm. Doesn't that make me the minister's wife?????

  2. Wow, you mean there's another foster-parenting two-mom family out there that's religious? My partner and I, both Orthodox Jews, are mothering our first foster child... a sweet and funny 9 year old boy with ODD and other diagnoses, who we just had to check into a psych hospital this week (hopefully for only a short time). The ups and downs are so intense but this experience is so amazing. it's nice to know we're not alone in being both queer & religious in the foster blogosphere.
